Tails of the World - a world wide fundraising collaboration (part 1)
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating as the Adelaide representative on two of the three volumes of the famous Tails of the World books which to date have collectively raised over $398,000 AU for animal rescue charity organisations all over the world. How incredible is that!!
My clients and I were very happy to support a local Adelaide charity Guardian Angel Animal Rescue with $2000 in donations for our submissions to Volumes 2 and 3. Sadly, Guardian Angel are no longer operating, but we know that our contributions were deeply appreciated, as they were crucial for the extensive work they carried out caring for so many vulnerable animals. We are also grateful to them for helping us promote our Tails of the World dog photography sessions, as they truly were instrumental to our project's success
Through doing these sessions, I’ve met so many gorgeous dogs whose pawrents were so excited to have their pups image grace the pages of the Tails of the World book.
Below are all of the adorable floofs who featured in Volume Two (our first contribution).
Check out part 2 of this blog for the Adelaide dogs of Volume Three.
COCO
Age 5, Golden Mix
Meet Coco, the brave and resilient spirit who touched our hearts and changed our lives forever. When Guardian Angel Animal Rescue first introduced us to her, she was recovering from a broken ankle after a car accident. Despite her injury and a clouded past, Coco's spirit remained unbroken, and we instantly knew she belonged with us.
With every passing day, her desire to love and be loved shone brighter, melting away the scars of her past. Soon after coming home, we were faced with the difficult decision of amputation, but we knew it was the best for her.
Coco's transformation has been inspiring--a testament to the power of resilience and the unwavering spirit of a furry friend. Today, she radiates pure happiness and reminds us daily that life's challenges can be conquered with love and support. We are forever grateful that she chose to trust us to be a part of her extraordinary journey.
In her presence, we have found healing, comfort, and the profound joy of witnessing a life transformed by love. We know that Coco has so much love to give, and our hearts are brimming with excitement for all the adventures that await as we continue this journey together.

ZIGGY (& Maverick)
Age 2, English Springer Spaniel
Ziggy was trained as a gun dog, but had her entire life turned upside down (for the better) when she was adopted to became part of a beautiful loving family. She is in training to be a conservation scent detection dog and will be helping the Australian wild life population stay preserved and unaffected by introduced species and assist in making a safe environment for breeding of endangered butterfly species.

SPARTACUS
Age 6, Maltese Poodle
Spartacus is a big cuddle bunny and loves to be in with everything that is going on and suffers from a serious case of FOMO! He opened his Mums eyes to the world and taught her to not accept the difficulties life throws, but face them head on and turn them into something great. Spartacus isn’t a dog, he's his Mum's best friend.
FLYNN
Age 10 months, Golden Retriever
Flynn is an extroverted dog, cared for by introverted parents. He loves everyone and anyone! He's a criminal who takes a singular malevolent joy in stealing what people or other dogs value most, and taunting them for playtime. He has a very particular strut for when he has stolen something, and proudly shows it off to remain the centre of attention. I suppose I could best describe him as a chaotic good boy.
HUGO
Age 4, Blue Heeler/Border Collie
Hugo is his Mum's best friend and soulmate. She loves doing everything with him - he goes with her anywhere from the office to the beach. He's her little shadow, and just a very very good boy. He is OBSESSED with fetch, balls, and sticks. It can be great for getting his attention, but once you have a ball or stick that hyper focus is unwavering!

LOUIS
Age 4, Chihuahua
Louis (pronounced Louie - you know, like Mr Armstrong) is small but mighty. He is an independent little guy who loves cuddles. His snout is wry, meaning it isn’t straight and goes off to the side. It’s his best feature and it makes him sneeze non stop when he is excited. He is so small he even gets to come into the shops with his Mums! He brings so much joy to everyone and always makes them smile always.

Arlo,
Age 2 years 6 months, English Staffordshire Bull Terrier
He is his Mum's baby and best friend! He is the most gentle and loving dog his Mum has ever owned. His obsession with a tennis ball beats anything else! He isn’t a food driven dog, but when you have a tennis ball the attention is all on you! He loves wearing his jumpers when it gets a bit chilly and watching tv.
DAISY
Age 2, Lagotto Romagnolo
Daisy is a super friendly, happy, dog. She adores her family, sitting on people’s laps despite not being a lap dog size and loves to play fetch without the return part of the game. She is a laundry thief, particularly loving socks and towels! She adores walks and swimming and playing in any body of water. She is like a fluffy pet sheep with the longest eyelashes you have ever seen!
CRICKET
Age 10, Terrier Cross
When Cricket first joined her family, she could fit in the palm of her Mums hand, had huge bat ears and bug eyes. She eventually grew into her long legs and curly tail. She is tiny but behaves like a Kelpie and loves playing soccer. Cricket has been her Mum's companion dog and utterly adores her Dad. When younger she was always hidding her treats in obscure places including a chicken neck that her parents found in their bed one day while making it. She has a big heart and loves people as well as her many 4 legged friends & family.
